Ballet for the over 55’s



     Exercise and Circuit Class
Circuits are designed to improve cardiovascular fitness (heart and lungs) and muscular strength and endurance. Suitable for all fitness levels.



     Cardiac Rehabilitation ( Phase 4 )

     Line Dancing
Line Dancing is particularly good for improving mobility and co-ordination. Suitable for all levels of experience.



     Pilates
A traditional style of Pilates promoting flexibility, stability and body strength. Pilates improves core strength, balance, flexibility, suppleness, posture and joint mobility. Beginners, intermediate and mixed ability classes are available.


 

     Breathe Well
Pulmonary Rehabilitation class tailored for people with respiratory conditions, COPD, asthma, and emphysema Helps to manage breathlessness and improve quality of life. Clients work at their own pace, guided by a specialist rehabilitation instructor. Connected and working with NHS Breathe Well initiative.


 

    Tai Chi / Qi gong
Qi Gong and Tai Chi are standing exercises (moving meditation) which benefit coordination, body posture, movement and breath for greater flexibility, circulation and stress reduction. Both are appropriate for all levels of fitness.


 

     Chair-based Exercise
This class is aimed at clients who need to regain strength following illness, trauma or joint replacement. It is designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, strength and endurance and is suitable for those who feel more comfortable sitting of all levels of fitness.



     Yoga
Yoga is a practice developed thousands of years ago that connects body, breathing and mind. It uses physical postures, breathing exercises and meditation to improve overall health, happiness and wellness.


 

     OTAGO and postural stability
This class aims to improve balance, strength and confidence to reduce risk of falls. It offers alternative exercise options for those who may need to remain chair based. Specialist exercise support for varying abilities and health conditions.


 

     Specialist Health Circuit
Accessible exercise circuits with specialist exercise supervision and guidance for all. Fun, friendly and taken at your own pace. Suitable for those who would like to improve their cardiovascular fitness, strength and stability. Using a variety of exercise equipment from stationary bikes, balls, resistance bands, hand weights, treadmill, rower and more. To suit varying abilities.
